Ujima: The Queen’s Table Brunch with Advance Carolina & NC Black Alliance May Edition

  • Address of event provided When you register United States (map)

Join us for the May edition of The Queen’s Table Brunch Series — an intentional gathering EXCLUSIVELY FOR WOMEN, rooted in connection, culture, and community care.

This free monthly event is inspired by the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa (Nguzo Saba), creating a sacred space for meaningful dialogue, leadership development, and collective healing among women.

This month, we center Ujima: Collective Work and Responsibility by focusing on the vital topic of Black Women’s Mental Health.

We’re honored to welcome Reverend Yolanda Murphy — local author, healthcare advocate, and the powerful voice behind Still Standing: Dealing with Grief, Loss, and Sickness. Reverend Murphy will offer reflections from her personal and professional journey, sparking an open, honest dialogue on how we care for ourselves, each other, and our communities in the face of mental health challenges.

✨ What You Can Expect: • Open, heart-centered conversation on mental wellness, grief, and healing specifically for Black women • Tools for integrating self and community care into your daily life • Information on local mental health resources and support networks • A political lens on mental health equity and access to care • Calls to action including voter registration, mental health advocacy, and supporting Black-led healing initiatives

💐 This is a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT FOR WOMEN.. We invite you to show up in your tea attire as we gather in beauty, strength, and solidarity.
