Why we RELAY:
JoCo Democrats have participated in RELAY FOR LIFE as Team 33, Johnston County Democrats, for 22 years. We raise money to assist the American Cancer Society (ACS) in its efforts to eradicate cancer here locally and nationally. There is no doubt, each of our families have been touched in some way by this dreadful disease. We work together to KICK OUT CANCER!
The event this year is scheduled for SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026, Smithfield Selma Senior High School at 700 M. Durwood Stephenson Parkway in Smithfield, 1PM until 9PM.
Please come out to the football field / track and visit our JCDP team. Sit with us, walk a lap, talk with old friends, meet new friends AND help us fundraise to beat cancer.
Anyone can make donations on line - Relay for Life Johnston County - Team 33 or alert Sarah to be on the lookout for a check or cash at the Smithfield or Clayton office OR BRING THE CHECK TO RELAY!
This year our captain will be Team #33 Captain Sarah Anderson bring your chair and look for us near our usual spot to the left of the bleachers! We will pow wow and enjoy other teams’ treats, food trucks and views of the luminaries.
